During the PASTECHL Bar 2026 Conference, held in Bar, Montenegro, from April 23 to 26, 2026, the Erasmus+ Sport project FAIR PLAYS – Fighting Abuse & Inequality through Resources Platform of Learning and Actions for Youth in Sports was officially presented. The project was introduced by Prof. Dr. Radenko Matić within a special session dedicated to international projects and initiatives in the fields of sport, education, inclusion, and social responsibility.
FAIR PLAYS is an international Erasmus+ Sport project focused on addressing one of the major challenges in the sports sector — the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in sport. The project promotes safer, more inclusive, and respectful sport environments through awareness raising, education, and the development of innovative learning resources for sport professionals, teachers, trainers, and students.
A key aspect of the project is the creation of accessible and interactive educational materials designed to help integrate SGBV prevention into sport education and training programs. Planned activities include needs assessments among teachers, trainers, and students, the development of case studies, online learning modules, practical educational tools, and the establishment of a multilingual digital platform for dissemination and knowledge sharing across Europe.
The project is fully aligned with European priorities related to equality, inclusion, education, integrity, and positive values in sport. Through transnational cooperation and innovative educational approaches, FAIR PLAYS aims to strengthen awareness, improve professional practices, and contribute to long-term cultural change within the sport sector.
The project is coordinated by C3D STAPS (France) and implemented in cooperation with partners from France, Greece, Cyprus, and Montenegro, including the Western Balkan Sport Innovation Lab (WBSILab). The total project budget amounts to €400,000, while the project duration is 30 months.
