The Director of WBSI Lab, Prof. Dr. Stevo Popovic, signed today an agreement with the Minister of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with NGOs, Ernad Suljević, on the co-financing of the project “WELEAD” (WomEn LEADership in sport: promoting the capacity of sport clubs to increase the female participation as leaders). Under this agreement, the project has been granted 20% of the full budget as part of state support for NGO projects funded through European Union programs.
The allocation of funds is based on the Ministry’s decision, which earmarked a total of €200,000 for eight projects. Among the supported organizations are the NGO “Staze”, the Centre for Tourism Development and Cooperation, the Homer Cultural Centre, the Physical Activity and Sports Tech for Healthy Lifestyles, the Centre for Youth and Sports Affirmation, the Valdanos Association, and Forum MNE. The co-financing programme covers the mandatory national contribution of Montenegrin organizations in EU-funded projects, thereby supporting their implementation in Montenegro.
